The backpacks are light, the shoes are clean, the hair is combed…for day 1, which was yesterday. We’ll see how long all of t his lasts! The GG will report back with results.

Smackie and his Reds teammates earned the 3rd Grade FYB Championship.   That’s two titles in two seasons.   Congratulations, young man!

The Gatorade shower was a nice finishing touch.

Poor Ace…or Lucky Ace?

So apparently he was in a fight.  Since he is about six-pounds, he didn’t fare too well and now has an abscess.

The Cat Lady of Farmington comforts him here.  Please comment, no real names please.

This is so true (from The Quotations Page)…

We’re so proud!

After spending most of the spring slaying dandelions and fallen leaves, Ace finally demonstrated his hunting abilities by presenting us with a mouse.  We didn’t get a photo, but it looks a lot like this.

The GG family is proud and relieved.  All is right with the world.

Poor Louie

Poor, sweet Lou sprained her ankle on Sunday.  As you can see, she was not happy.  She is much better today, however.

Cheese Sauce

I posted this comment on Muppy’s blog. But it is a good one…

Last night, Smackie gave me a good night hug right after his shower. I told him that he didn’t do a very good job with his pits, as he smelled like old brie.

He apologized and said that he hadn’t had a chance to put “cheese sauce” on yet. We call deodorant “cheese sauce”, because it prevents stinky-cheese-pits.

I see a marketing opportunity here, unless, of course, you have ties to Kraft.

Up a Tree

He’s quick, he’s small, he’s just not too bright.  An aggressive neighborhood dog chased our Ace up a tree; actually two trees twice.  He came down after a considerable amount of time and consternation…
